Ask TechCompare is an AI assistant that helps you find the right tech tool for your task. Instead of browsing the calculator catalog, you describe what you want to do in plain English and the AI picks the best tool, asks for any missing details, and opens it prefilled with your values.

You type a natural-language question like 'compare a 27 and 32 inch monitor' or 'how much VRAM for llama 70b at q4'. The AI identifies which of TechCompare's tools fits your question, asks follow-up questions if needed (with clickable option buttons), and then opens the tool with all your values already filled in.

TechCompare doesn't save conversation history after a request completes. The conversation lives in your browser tab and is sent to our function and DeepInfra to answer your request. TechCompare's function also uses an IP hash, a device fingerprint hash, and, for signed-in users, an account token for rate limits. If your initial message doesn't include enough detail (for example, 'I want to compare two monitors' without specifying sizes), the AI will ask follow-up questions one at a time before opening the tool. This ensures the tool opens with the right values instead of defaults you didn't choose. Each question shows a progress indicator like 'Question 2 of 3' so you know how many questions remain.
