How they differ
A 27-inch 1440p monitor is the traditional sweet spot. It offers a sharp 109 PPI without needing OS scaling, and it has 3.68 million pixels - easy enough to drive that mid-range GPUs can push high frame rates. A 32-inch 4K monitor is the modern productivity king. It gives you 40% more physical screen real estate and a significantly sharper 138 PPI, making text look incredible. However, driving its 8.29 million pixels requires serious GPU horsepower.
Verdict
If you primarily play games, a 27-inch 1440p monitor is usually the better buy. It fits easier on a desk and doesn't require a top-tier graphics card to reach 144Hz+. If you write code, edit photos, or just want massive screen real estate for multiple windows, the 32-inch 4K is superior.
